![]() ![]() What I had wrote was very specific, and yes I already found out the problem and fixed it. Well thanks for not one good bit of info on my question I had asked. lastly, its not important the year of the ecu as much as the model, aka p59, 411, e67, etc etc they aren't there to hold peoples hands so be deliberate and specific in your posts and youll get all the help you need. if you just post a simple statement like you did here or vague then those guys will probably not respond or if they do they will be jerks. also try searching for ecu and tune specific stuff, word of advice, search and search again for the issues before posting up. when you find an issue do research, get diagrams, etc and spend solid time on diag then attack. usually its little stuff that will get you. you verified some harness info but did you pin out all the questionable circuits? such as pin from injector connector to ecu pins, coil connector to ecu pins, etc etc and compare to a wiring diagram such as what can be found on ? for example i bought a 06 express van harness and ecu, had running issues, come to find out 5 of the injectors were pinned wrong on the harness and weren't in the proper order, repined them according to the lt1swap diagram and she fired right up. I'm sure you looked at current performance site before, theres a reason they request a very specific ecu and tcm with a specific pedal and OS be flashed, because that's the only one that speaks to your BCM properly. then they all need the appropriate year and model specific OS flashed to the ecu and tcm, sounds like the tuner did that but that only works if the ecu and tcm you have support that OS. you can just throw a bunch of gm parts together from a similar year and expect it to run like oem. you can google more info on that specifically on what part numbers work together. first you need an ecu, tcm, pedal that all correlate together. ![]() Theres like ten variables in your post that can all create issues. It is definitely a tune problem, is it the 08 e67 ecm will not work with a 09 5.3L tune? and if the 08 ecm doesnt work do i just need to get a 09 ecm? and or tcm? my goal is to get everything to work like it is factory. ![]() my question is what is my tuner doing incorrectly to my 08 e67 ecm? he did a segment swap to ecm from a 09 colorado 5.3L, i don't think he tuned tcm, but to me i think the ecm still thinks its a 4 cylinder. so the next day i took out my stock to truck 08 e67 pcm and tcm and installed a 07 tbss e67 ecm and tcm with stock tune i had laying around, performed a theft learn and now the vehicle runs on all 8 cylinders, oxygen sensors read correctly in the correct location, but tbss does not send out power to s terminal wire to starter so i hooked up a starter button to start engine and tbss also uses a different gas pedal so that will not work. well i spent 4 hours checking everything on my harness and found out my harness is fine. also it keeps setting secondary air injection codes, my 2.9L had air injection. and lastly it thinks that the bank 2 ho2 sensor 1(pre cat) sensor is actually the bank 1 sensor 2(post cat) position on hp tuners and also on my scan tool. Also it never verifies that it is miss firing on bank 2 as well. With the tunes he put in, it doesn't run on the passenger side cylinders, has good spark to passenger side cylinders, has good injector pulse to passenger side cylinders(bank 2) for roughly 1 second with a noid light being bright then barely gets the noid light to even turn dim after the first second. Well after 2 days of frustration and 2 different tunes he put in, it still doesn't operate correctly. i paid a tuner to tune it from the stock 2.9L to a 5.3L. I deleted the afm, changed the 4l60e trans to work, installed a 09 v8 colorado engine harness, and rewired harness to work with the vehicle and trans. i swapped in a 08 LC9 5.3 into my 08 colorado. ![]() I need some help with my 08 colorado ls swap. ![]()
